Ok so granted, Dark Knight was a great movie in my opinion and I thought Pineapple Express was hilarious. The rest of these movies coming out are complete trash. I saw Tropic Thunder and it's sad that all the funny parts were in the commercials. This new one The Rocker? I don't know about anyone else, but i'm tired of these kid comedy's. The last decent one was Superbad. Can we get some funny movies that are actually funny? Like non-stop laughing? Some action movies that are really good? (oh...i forgot Ironman...that was good too) Even though I did like Batman and Ironman, can we get over this bringing it back attitude with comics? I mean geezus! I heard they want to do Captain America and The Flash...seriously? What's next? Sonic the Movie? And don't even start with Horror movies...holy crap! Strangers was decent, but I want something that will give me nightmares!

I think i'll move to Indie films...these high budget ones are too worried about who is in it than the content of the movie!

Sorry for the ramblings, but i'm frustrated with movies. Any thoughts? Or suggestions as to what movies are good that may not have been all over tv every few minutes?

One place to look:

Metacritic

Which is a compilation of many critics, all referenced from one page. Click on each to go directly to read that critics reviews.

It takes a little time and effort to make a rational decision, but it's worth it - with the price of movies today plus the time spent.

You're right, tho: sometimes the independent films can be more satisfying - if you find a good one, tell us about it here.
