If you use Shared Access Computers (such as those in the computer labs on campus)....
It is always a good idea to LOG OUT of your account instead of just closing the browser. Lately I have been opening up Safari to already be logged in under another users name. Thanks! --The Bughouse Staff -------------------- "There is a fine line between clever and stupid." -Spinal Tap

Thanks! --The Bughouse Staff the same is true for for other accounts as well. specially on macs. it seems a lot of people have trouble actually closing a program because if you don't look its not as easy to notice as a windows computer if the program is still open. i have gone to gmail only to find the last person didn't log out quite a lot lately. -------------------- |

Very true. I've noticed that as well. On a Mac, you need to go to the file menu to quit, hit Command+Q(The one with the loopy pound sign/open apple) or click-hold the icon on the dock, then wait for the dialogue and choose quit from there. Amazon.com is another problematic one. Theoretically, it shouldn't matter too much since it doesn't save your password for billing transactions. But your recommendations will be wacky! -------------------- |
